Sue Infante (Despo**)

Susan Infante-Despo, 53, of Leominster died Thursday, July 28, 2016, at home after a long illness. She is survived by her beloved husband of 23 years James J. Despo, her father Donato Infante and stepmother Jean of Lancaster, her mother Janice (Meravi) Milano and stepfather Enrico of Sumter, SC; daughter Colby Mazzaferro and husband Bryan of Leominster, son Michael Despo and wife Erika of Leominster, two sisters Joann Infante and husband Ken Elkins of Rock Hill, SC; and Nancy Serpa and husband Thomas of Newport, RI; and brother Father Donato Infante III of Charlton. She also leaves two grandchildren Ava and Jackson Mazzaferro of Leominster, a niece Avary Serpa of Newport, sister-in-law Nancy Tourigny and husband Paul of Leominster, brother-in-law Nicolas Despo of Cambridge and partner Karuna O’Donnell, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Sue was born in Perth Amboy, NJ, on July 10, 1963, and had lived in Leominster for the past 26 years. She graduated from Algonquin Regional High School in Northborough, earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Assumption College in Worcester and a master’s degree in business administration from Nichols College in Dudley. Most recently Sue had been Vice President of Finance at Vivify Technologies Inc. in Burlington. She was a member of Holy Family of Nazareth Church in Leominster.

Sue was an avid traveler, both in the U.S. and abroad, but especially liked her trips to New York City to take in a Broadway show. She frequently entertained family and friends at home and at the Cape. She was Yaya, she was Auntie Sue, and she was Captain of The Twelve, a group of high school friends who remained close and supported her throughout her illness. Sue had a unique ability to bring friends and family of all ages, all backgrounds and from all periods of her life together, creating new friendships and precious memories. This unique talent from “The Organizer” will be sorely missed.
